Conference Video Of The Month
Sarah Hatter: Support is Never, Ever as Important as Product Development
From Business Of Software USA 2013, Sarah takes us on an entertaining history of customer service, from the original retail innovations of H Gordon Selfridge through to the Zappos Experience. In a world where customers expect to be treated like royalty and every customer complaint stays online forever, Sarah emphasizes that customer support is just as much a part of the entire product experience as the product itself. Her talk finishes with some support metrics you can track (even on a team of one), and a reminder to make heavy use of customer feedback when considering how to improve what you sell & decide on future business directions.
Call For Presentations
DjangoCon US (San Diego, California) call for
proposals ends June 4. Their audience is Django developers
(unsurprisingly!), and they're looking for talks either 25 or
45 minutes long, or 3 hour tutorials. The conference is on
14 - 19 October:
