Product Launch tactics, WWDC and Revision

This month we've got updates from WWDC, Revision, Business Of Software, and a video about product launch tactics from Ryan Delk of Gumroad at Microconf. (Lots of actionable information in this one, don't miss it!)

As always, if you know of new conferences for the list, send me a message at www.indieconference.com/contact and I'll check it out!

New Conference Updates

Business Of Software Europe has been announced for 5 - 6 June 2017, this year in London. Speakers this year include Peldi from Balsamiq Mockups, Kirsten Butzow and Alex Osterwalder.

WWDC is moving!  Apple is shifting the Worldwide Developer Conference to San Jose, on 5 - 9 June.  Ticket sales/lottery begins on March 27... or at least that's the rumour from John Gruber at Daring Fireball.

Revision is happening on 14 - 17 April in Saarbrücken, Germany. Revision is the world's biggest pure Demoscene party, for digital art created only with code. Revision includes a 64kB EXE competition, squeezing incredible art from a file smaller than a Word document.

Microsoft Build is on 10 - 12 May, this year in Seattle. I wonder what MS has up their sleeve after the Surface Studio...

Business Of Software USA has also been announced for 18 - 20 September, once again in Boston for 2017. Speakers this year include Natalie Nagele and Joshua Seiden.

Ryan Delk / Gumroad: The Data Behind Successful Product Launches

Ryan Delk presenting his conference talk at Microconf 2014

From Microconf 2014, Ryan Delk shares Gumroad's data on product launches, learned from over $88 million in sales via their platform. Whether you're a musician, writer or software developer, Ryan shares the importance of selling bundles & the exact ratios to price your packages at. (Why sell just an MP3, if your fans will pay 5x more for a pack with instrumental versions, demo versions and a making-of diary?) Ryan also shares the conversion rates Gumroad gets from different social networks - spoiler: maybe don't rely on Show HN for your next app...
